Light in RPG Architect is generally defined as an omni-directional (e.g. sphere) light that is emit from a point, unless it is otherwise specified to be a Directional Light. Omni-directional light does not create shadows.
Note: Directional Light is available in Maps and is used to influence the direction of a distant light source across the scene, generating shadows.
